MY FAVOURITE AUSTRALIAN
ABC TV in a collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra have taken a bold new approach to the successful ongoing ABC TV “My Favourite” series by commissioning 30 video portraits from leading video artists and filmmakers across Australia for a groundbreaking multi-platform exhibition of My Favourite Australian.
Craig Walsh’s portrait of Tom Slattery was to include elements of Tom’s local environment having had such an influence on his life, whilst also paying homage to the contribution he has made to Stradbroke Islands environment and community. The superimposition of his portrait projected over significant personal sites defined the process for exploring this intent.
